Non-sticky powders such as Silica, Active Carbon, HPMC, Coconut, Flour, etc. can form lumps and can be dispensed by a rotor-stator system.

Highly viscous products and those that are difficult to dissolve can be injected directly into the Ytron-Y shunt without the formation of lumps. In this way, instant dissolution or suspension is achieved. Direct directed jetting homogeneously mixes the product in the total volume of the batch.

Order of the process:

  • The YTRON-Y is connected once the powder is in the hopper, silo or bigbag of the shunt.
  • The valve is then opened and the negative pressure generated at the YTRON-Y inlet pushes the powder inward, dispersing it instantly and homogeneously in the liquid. It is impossible for the powder to float to the surface or settle to the bottom of the reactor.
  • Once all the powder has entered, the valve is closed to prevent the entry of air or liquid backflow.
  • The YTRON-Y can then be switched off.

Some low density powders can be sucked directly from a bag or other container without generating dust. In these cases, a certain amount of air is required to ensure fluidization of the powdered product.
