MOBILE BY-PASS PUMP
Vaughan Company now offers a number of options with portable pumps, including self-priming pumps as the dry suction system for both the popular TRITON grinder pumps and TRITON centrifugal screw pumps. Vaughan has partnered with one of the premier manufacturers of dry suction systems for both electric motor and diesel powered mobile pumps.
FOAM-BREAKERS
Vaughan’s patented Foam Breaker uses the same glass-lined ROTAMIX nozzles and incorporates a stainless steel splash pad below the nozzle to divert the nozzle output stream to create a broad sludge spray, which wets and breaks up the foams that form on the digester surface layer. When the Foam Breaker is used in conjunction with a Rotamix nozzle system for tank mixing, fluid rotation occurs and only one nozzle is required to effectively spray and control foaming.
The Foam Breaker nozzle is mounted above the liquid level at the periphery and we direct the sludge jet, radially, towards the center. Alternatively, the spray nozzle and deflector plate can be mounted in the center of the tank and we direct the flow radially outward. As the tank contents rotate under the spray nozzle, the foam present will be suppressed by the uniform jet being pumped through the foam breaker. It can also be used as auxiliary equipment without a Rotamix mixing system. The spray flow and flow rate will always be controlled from the pressure drop at the nozzle.
FLOOR CLEANING SYSTEM
The exclusive concept of Vaughan Soil Cleaning, patent pending, is mainly the same concept as the Skim Breaker but inverted and we direct the flow towards the ground and the deflector plate is mounted on top of the nozzle. It is recommended for cleaning storm tanks, sand, pumping stations, storm channels, combined tanks, etc… but always using the Vaughan grinder pump as the heart of the installation.
PREGRINDER FISH KIT
The Fish Pre-Grinder Kit was developed for the fishing industry to ensure that fish waste is crushed and reduced into particles of no more than 25mm. This Pregrinder kit is a set of plates and cutters added to the traditional, already proven cutting system of the crusher pumps. Vaughan both the cutter plate at the suction with the impeller and the upper cutter plate at the rear of the impeller, without affecting the pump performance by the addition of the Pregrinder and without requiring higher kw power.
SMALL TANK MIXING
The innovative Small Tank Mixing system uses the simplest ROTAMIX nozzles, utilizing the Crusher pump and an external manual disassembly and movement system. The external 6″ flanges are interleaved and can be manually moved or re-oriented in position at any time, without disassembly or product dripping. The nozzles can be lightweight 316 stainless steel or SCH40 steel with glass liner. These systems are ideal for mixing small tanks, with fats, oils, greases, oils, organic waste recycling plants, which often use fiberglass tanks. In addition to other applications in the chemical or petrochemical industry.
VAUGHAN MODEL 240
The Vaughan Model 240 Chopper pump is the smallest model, with less consumption and more competitive cost, especially recommended for tanks with little space, pumping wells, etc.…
HOPPER CHOPPER
The Crusher Hopper Pump is a combination tomato receiving hopper with a 5.5 kW auger connected to a stainless steel crusher pump. The auger is designed to push whole tomatoes from the hopper to the pump inlet, where they are cut, crushed and pumped to a hot-break vessel. This system eliminates the use of helicoidal pumps that leave the rubber as a residue, with dry turning and also always needing the hopper and the hot-break, with continuous stops and maintenance. Flow rates from 10 to 100 ton/h of tomato. Vaughan’ s unique concept has been proven in many tomato plants in Southern Europe, in Spain, Italy, Greece or Turkey, and especially in almost all tomato plants in California.
VORTEX SHREDDER
The Vaughan Vortex grinder pump is the combination of a cylindrical receiving vessel with a conical bottom connected through a large 12″ DN 300 mm elbow to the inlet of a Vaughan grinder pump. The pump discharges through the Vaughan 3-way valve to the same receiving vessel for blending and particle size reduction. Once the material in the receiving vessel has been mixed and crushed, an operator can change the position of the 3-way valve to pump the waste to its destination.
The Vaughan Vortex grinder pump has been used for fish processing in fertilizer, for protein recovery in chicken processing, shredding of waste feed in bio-fuel plants. The mixing system creates a vortex in the receiving vessel to draw any floating material out of the pump to ensure a homogeneous suspension. The tank, pump and valve can be in steel / ductile iron or stainless steel depending on the application.
PROPELLER MIXER – FLOATING
The Vaughan Floating propeller mixer is a floating platform with a 2.5 m long agitator. The propeller mixer is mounted on the platform with a rotating system so that it can be rotated for platform movement or submerged in the liquid to perform the mixing function. It has been used for mixing lagoons or open tanks that form crusts. It is usually mounted with 11 or 15 kW motor.
PUMPING PLATFORM, UNMANNED
Vaughan’ s unmanned pumping platform uses a float designed to support a short shaft of the vertical wet well pump, about 600 mm long. The pump can be connected to a floating discharge hose in order to move the platform in ponds, tank or open pits. Different pump models can be mounted. A variety of pumps and motors can be mounted on various sizes of floating platforms and a variety of materials of construction can be used for the pumps.
VAUGHAN 3-WAY VALVE
The Vaughan 3-way valve is available in sizes from 4″, 6″ and 8″. Vaughan’s design allows for mounting either as a stand-alone valve or as part of a submersible pump mixing system or vertical wet well pump. The valve is a non-clogging design, utilizing a rotating CD-4MCu disc to allow discharge from one of the two pipes.
Flow can even be split between the two pipes. The valve body has a single inlet flange. The valve disc can be rotated manually with a handle or can be actuated by an automatic electric actuator.
