Horizontal pump

Horizontal pump

The horizontal dry well assembly allows us to mount the Vaughan horizontal pump in any dry well application. Either in horizontal or vertical configuration.

The motor is standard with B35 IEC flange.

This configuration was mainly designed for pumping primary, secondary or digested sludge in WWTP or WWTPI.

The exclusive design of the body allows us to externally adjust the tolerances of the impeller with the shear plate, at the suction, without disassembling the pump.

The seal is designed to rotate dry. It allows us to assemble with a vacuum system, for self-priming mobile pumps.

Advantages

  • 7 cut-off points, patented and/or patent pending.
  • Manufacture of the pump with numerical control equipment allows the automated repetition of the parts and eliminates any defects in its construction.
  • Hardened materials up to 600 Brinell, withstand abrasion and facilitate the crushing of solids.
  • External adjustment of the tolerance between the cutter bar and the impeller on the suction side. There is also the possibility of adjusting the tolerance between the impeller and the rear upper cutting plate.

Oversized shafts and bearings.
Various materials: ductile iron, 316 stainless steel or CD4MCU duplex.
Modeling of the parts in 3D and using Computational Fluid Dynamics or CFD/CFX, allows to see the flow channels and velocities inside the pump, to develop design improvements and increase efficiencies.
Crushes solids such as: rags, fibers, plastics, hairs, cellulose, etc.
Vaughan’s written guarantee is their performance commitment that their pumps will grind solids without clogging.
